This is one of the SAS soldiers favorites.

Step 1: Just as the name says, squat!

Step 2: Place your hands on the ground.

Step 3: Thrust your legs back and land in a push-up position.

Step 4: Jump your way back to a squatting position.

Step 5: Jump up with your hands in the air. Beginners, just stand up.

Step 6: Repeat.

As you can see, it’s a simple (but challenging) variation of your basic squat thrust. Start off slow until you can get the hang of it.

Pay close attention to keeping proper form as you do the Burpee - but really give it your all, too (except for the first warm-up set, of course). Your total exertion time should be no longer than 6 minutes, but be sure to allow yourself all the recovery time you need to feel ready for your next set.

A LITTLE ABOUT ME AND MY LIFE?

 

I'm a happy, creative, confident and self-driven, self-employed (single) guy with a playful "naughty boy" attitude.  I'm a reasonably attractive (maybe even semi handsome?) guy with a sparkling personality (accept when I'm sulking). I've got a keen wit, steady hand and a clear eye. I've got a good tan, very short (ok, receding) brown hair with a few "interesting" spots of grey. I'm about average size. I'm not tall, not short, not fat, not skinny, just right?

 

I wanted to be a swimsuit model but they told me I wasn’t good lookin enough, so now I help people to realize that nothing tastes as good as what lean, strong and sexy feels,,, well I can think of one other thing but that’s between consenting adults?

 

I'm a Body Makeover specialist. I'm a Personal Fitness Trainer.  Grant See Personal Fitness Training and Self Defence has been established in Lennox Head since April 98. I have been involved in the Health and Fitness industry for over 30 years and PFT since 1990. Besides a few odd jobs here and there as a builders laborer, gym manager, deck hand, SAS soldier (I've never shot anyone, but I did hurt someones feelings once ;-). I've been bouncer/bodyguard, parasail operator, nightclub promotor and I even drove a "Miss" whippy ice cream van (until the ice cream started to become a bit of a habit). I started "playin around" with acting with my first short movie in May 08, I've done five so far. 

 

My passion for health and fitness began at an early age. I was born October 1958 in Sydney, the first of four kids and I enjoyed a happy, healthy childhood. August 1976, I began my education and training in bodybuilding and martial arts, (freestyle karate/wrestling). February 1982, I lived and studied for 8 months in LA California with Nutritional Scientist and Celebrity Fitness Trainer, Rheo Hughes Blair, he was personal nutritionist to Arnold Schwarzenegger and many other Mr Olympia’s and Hollywood celebrities.

 

January 1984, I started my brief & successful amateur middleweight boxing career. January 1985, I joined the Australian army where I was selected to serve with the SAS in the Special Forces/Counter Terrorist Unit. On completion of selection I was awarded ‘Student of Merit’ from 155 other soldiers. After five years service I resigned from the Army in December 1990.

 

November 1997 at 39 I became a Dad for the first time when our 1st boy Curran was born. Our little girl Jade was born October’00 and our second son Danny was born September ’02. All three were planned and safe home water birth babies, delivered by Angela (their mum) and myself. Three of the best experiences of my life.

 

What’s the best thing about my work?

 

Helping other people to realise the beauty and strength their amazing bodies are capable of.
